![]() (Except the few people who made personal judgments and were kind of mean. Much appreciated to all who were constructive and curious! Look forward to meeting you in a Centurion lounge soon! Sounds like Centurion lounges may be a victim of their own success? So I commit to all who have spent time and attention that I will cut the Seattle Centurion Lounge some slack, and look forward to visiting their new expanded space soon. Went there after leaving the Sk圜lub which was a total zoo. The overall lounge benefit is quite varied, with Delta Sk圜lub, Priority Pass (even watered down with no restaurants) the international PP lounges I have been to have been pretty good, the Escape Lounge (at least the one in MSP I visited) was very nice - even had table service!. On reflection, the overall lounge portfolio (I know, big words for me) of the Amex Plat lounge 'perk' is a fair value, sounds like i Just need to manage my particular expectation of the current SEA Centurion. With more space and American Express’ new access policy, the lounge is still busy but doesn’t feel overcrowded nor does there appear to be long wait times.Oh, Man, my thinking about this had become very uptight!Īfter some deep thinking given all the various points of view on this post (137+ comments so far - who new such a low quality post would have such legs! My most upvoted post on reddit - even beat my compost pile temperature posts - amazing!. As space and capacity were frequent issues at the old lounge, the new lounge with expanded space has enhanced the lounge experience. Overall, the new American Express Centurion Lounge at SEA Seattle-Tacoma Airport is a pleasant place to enjoy for a few hours before a flight. It is accessible by taking the elevator or staircase located in the food court in the Central Terminal.įor more information, visit the official lounge website and visit the website with details about the access policies. The new lounge is located on the mezzanine level in the Central Terminal. Jason’s favorite Georgetown Bodhizafa is on tap and Maxine’s Gramercy Cellars Syrah is also available. They have a great selection of craft beer, wine, and cocktails. The lounge has a main bar and 2 bartenders working during peak times. One great feature is the café as it offers espresso-based handmade drinks, small bites like pastries, bowls, snacks, sandwiches, smoothies, and drinks on tap like kombucha and cold brew. A hot food buffet with various entrees, like blackened/Cajun chicken, rice, collard greens, vegetarian/vegan curry, and soups. There is a cold food buffet with a healthy juice shot, salads, veggies, cheese, and lunch meats. The buffet is curated by James Beard award nominee Chef Kristi Brown who owns “Seattle Soul” cuisine. The food options are really good and better than most lounges we’ve been to. The space where the bathrooms are is also more divided and away from the hustle and bustle of the lounge. In the old lounge, there were 3 stalls for the entire lounge: in the new lounge, there are about 4 stalls in each bathroom. One good thing about the renovations is the increased number of bathroom stalls and sinks. It feels like a trendy restaurant and bar in some spots, a peaceful and healthy café in some spots, and an upscale airport lounge in other spots. Overall, the lounge design is nice, and modern. It is much less chaotic to get food than at the old lounge. There is much more space though for the buffet and you can grab food from both sides. One minor design flaw is the buffet setup: it’s located in a high trafficked area that can make it a little awkward to grab food. One thing that is missing from the lounge is a children’s play area to minimize all the children running around and playing in the relaxation area. There are various seating options: at the bar, café style, high-top tables, restaurant-style tables, couches, recliners, workstations, and a co-working table. The lounge feels very large due to its footprint and also the tall ceilings that extend into the terminal in some parts. ![]() The new lounge is quite large and spacious: numerous sources online say it is about 3 times bigger, offers 14,000 square feet of space, and can accommodate up to 400 people. In this post, we share information about the new lounge. The new American Express Centurion Lounge at SEA Seattle-Tacoma Airport opened recently. ![]()
